Anti-capitalist.
Social media spies on us and robs us of actually socializing on their platforms. Our friends and family get overktan by a feed full of sponsored ads, suggestions, and bigger influencer/company accounts winning the algorithm game and all going first.
Working to get myself away from fast fashion - instead I thrift, buy secondhand, seek out vintage, am learning darning and mending, how to hem and adjust fits. This has let me start to craft my own sense of style more slowly and with choosy itent.
Current net gives us less attention span but not boredom either. I believe boredom is sublime and needed for creativty. I want to create more than I consume, consuming more things that have been made with passionate or curious intent by smaller makers. Less big corporate slop.
Seeking out POSITIVE contributions more than negative ruminations. It's easy for Youtube to start suggesting me endless "we have no attention span now" videos, but I want to put my focus into videos and conversations about hobbies, learning, engaging wiith people. When I do consume, I want it to be engaging, thoughtful, positive in some way. I want to reward creators and meet others who are on this path.
